Question by MJ: Anger management?
Okay I am 17 years old and I am trying to find peace and what I mean by that is I want a day to at least be happy and not quarrling with certain family member every 5 mins. Everytime I am having a good day and trying to stay relaxed and calm people constantly try to grind my gears and piss me the hell off. I hate getting angry believe me I do cause it brings out the worst of me. Today a woman who is living in our house and not even family and has nowhere else to live had the nerve to make a comment about me to me mother talking about how she doesn’t want to talk but whatever(don’t want to repeat what she said its nothing really bad). anyhow this same woman has the nerve to tell me what I should be doing and can’t even tell her own kids that they curse her ass out. I wanted to tell her that so bad but for the sake of my mother I didn’t want to cause problems so I kept quiet. People think because I’m quiet and I’m nice that they can talk to me anyway they want and I won’t respond.
I got off topic from my real question. The point is I want to find peace and know if there’s anything I could do to keep myself from getting angry by stupid little things? I am planning on leaving my house someday(moving out), but I don’t know where to start.

Question by thefinalresult: Anger Management classes?
My friend’s boyfriend was court ordered as part of his probation to go through anger management.

My friend says while she hopes it will help all it really is, is teaching them to suppress their anger vs. dealing with it in a non violent way.

They are paying cash for this. 8 classes two hours long in a group setting all male. She says it’s a waste of their money. He doesn’t want to go.

He can get out of it IF he meets with clergy of his choice ongoing for at least once a week for at least three months and clergy is willing to communicate with probation officer.

I told her to go with clergy as he would rather meet with a minister than go to classes.

She values my opinion but if I’m wrong on this it could end up really bad. I was just thinking that if he has more respect for his minister, which she says he honestly does, than the local mental health place that he might really get something out of it.

Is a licensed psychologist really that much better than clergy?

Answer by Javah
I worked at a counseling center that led these anger management groups and i had a friend that actually led them at a different facility. These groups were mandated for 1 year and the progress that I heard about was incredible. I don’t know much about how useful 8 2hr. sessions would be, but I do know that if this guy goes in with a closed mind and his arms crossed he may not get much out of it. In his case, maybe his clergyman might be better. If he really has a serious problem, then the 1 year program would afford him a wealth of information and probably turn his life around for the better. Hope that helps!

Question by Filthy Chef: Anger management?
I have just booked a ticket to a festival I wish to go to, and applied for the leave from work. Although my boss has granted me the leave, I am still so excited I could attack him at any time. I often become so excited it turns to anger and could now burn down my office. How do I stop this problem recurring? I suffer with it constantly.
Shouting won’t work love, I get revved up, unreasonable like and end up swingin, y’know how it is.

The wife left on the counts of I can’t help but leather er head off the bedpost upon climax.

I feel poisoned.

Best answer:

Answer by starofsong
Why are you angry? You said you were excited. It is called self-control. Maybe your boss should take your tickets away or tell you that you are not allowed to go. Then you would have a reason to become angry. Self – control… that is the key.

Life Counselor Advice: Transform Your Life with Teleclasses

The Internet presents ample opportunities for personal growth, enrichment and development. Individuals can download positive affirmation and hypnosis CDs to help themselves relax and reframe their minds. They can download e-books to learn new techniques that facilitate a shift in consciousness. They can participate in Teleclasses, which are like phone call meetings, where self-help topics will be discussed in greater detail, offering a chance for Q&A. They can also take Teleseminars, which are more like instructional remote classroom meetings run by an experienced Life Counselor via webcam. No matter which path is chosen, the anonymous nature of the Internet allows a person a more comfortable medium to pursue their personal development.

There are a number of reasons why someone may want to take a teleclass or teleseminar from a life counselor. Some people join the classes to quit smoking or lose weight. It can be embarrassing for people to admit they need help in these areas, but finding a support network can have a dramatic impact on results. Other people may feel as though they’re at a crossroads: they’ve just graduated, lost a loved one, lost a job, retired, been diagnosed with an illness, divorced or moved to a new city. Teleclasses present new ways of understanding the situation and new coping mechanisms.

Some people may have struggled with symptoms of depression, anxiety or explosive anger their whole lives. Perhaps their familial relationships were disruptive, abusive or unfulfilling. Many Americans are struggling to overcome past pain and assimilated patterns of behavior to learn how they can start anew and break repetitive cycles that are destroying their happiness. A Teleclass or teleseminar taught by a life counselor can help an individual identify what traits or behaviors have transferred over from childhood. One can learn to understand the past, identify present triggers and prevent future outbursts through techniques presented in these informative sessions.

In the hustle and bustle of a busy day, there is often this underlying feeling of unease or unhappiness. Sometimes these negative emotions lead to cheating and divorce, mid-life crises, drug addiction or alcoholism, emotional outbursts with the ones we love or some other undesirable behavior. Preventing this end is easier with the help of a life counselor offered teleclass or teleseminar. Here, people can learn all the necessary life skills that aren’t taught in school but are even more important than algebra or spelling: Stress Management, Relaxation Techniques, Communication Skills and Anger Management.

“Phone counseling is becoming more popular around the country,” explains teleclass life counselor Dr. Marla Sloane of Fairfax, California. “All you need is a phone, which will change your life by reclaiming your power so you can go from ordinary to extraordinary.” She says her classes focus on ways to take control of life, which includes: taking off masks to uncover one’s real self; shedding addictions of alcohol, drugs or food; replacing negative thoughts with positive affirmations; and ending destructive cycles of stress, anger, anxiety and unhappiness. “We have a purpose to fulfill on this Earth and we cannot fully contribute our gifts and talents if we are filled with self doubt and insecurities,” Dr. Sloane adds.

For people who are too busy to make it into an office or read a full book, Teleclasses and Teleseminars from a licensed life counselor like Dr. Marla Sloane can be a God-send. With so many free Teleclasses out there, it’s a good place to start in the world of self-help counseling. If people are interested in the initial offerings, they can then move onto more in-depth levels of discovery and study.

With the expansion of remote classroom learning and distance degrees came Teleclasses, a way of learning new ideas and techniques without ever leaving the comfort of your own home.

Best answer:

Answer by ?
Why would you need to work it out? you have custody right? i wouldnt be willing to work out any arrangment if she is not clean. tell the mediator that you would be happy to eventually work out an agreement if she starts drug counceling. how long have you had your sons? more than likely they are not going to give them back if is has been a significant amount of time. you can ask for all you want plus more what is the worst that will happen they will say no? your stanfing up for important people so ask alot and i gaurantee they will work with you to get her to do at least some of it.
